Alba White Truffle Fair 2026: A guide to experiencing it without worries

Every autumn, Alba becomes the world capital of white truffles. From October 10th to December 6th, 2026, the Alba International White Truffle Fair returns, now in its 96th edition: eight weekends of markets, tastings, cooking shows, and events in the historic center and the Langhe hills.

In this guide, you'll find the dates, tips for organizing your day, and the most convenient way to get there from Turin or the airports, leaving the driving to someone else.

Dates and locations of the 2026 Fair

  • When: October 10 to December 6, 2026, with the program concentrated on weekends.

  • Where: in the historic center of Alba (Cuneo), about an hour's drive from Turin.

  • The heart of the Fair: the Alba White Truffle World Market, in the Cortile della Maddalena. Here, truffles are purchased directly from truffle hunters and traders, with judges from the National Truffle Studies Center available to help you choose.

  • Other events include cooking shows, wine tastings, children's workshops, folklore events, and, in November, the Alba White Truffle World Auction at Grinzane Cavour Castle.

Schedules, tickets, and the daily program are published on the official website fieradeltartufo.org . Tickets can also be purchased online.

Why go there with a private driver?

On weekends, Fiera Alba fills with visitors from all over the world. There are concrete reasons to leave your car at home:

  • No more searching for parking in a crowded historic center: the driver drops you off near the center and picks you up at the agreed-upon time.

  • Worry-free tasting: a glass of Barolo or Barbaresco is part of the experience, and with a chauffeur, no one has to miss out.

  • Multiple stops in the same day: Alba in the morning, a winery in the afternoon, a dinner in the hills in the evening, with just one vehicle at your disposal.

  • Comfortable return, even at the end of the evening, to your hotel, home or the airport.

An idea for the day: Alba and the hills

  1. Morning: Arrival in Alba and visit the World Truffle Market, when it's less crowded.

  2. Lunch: tajarin or fried egg with grated white truffle, in the city or at a trattoria in the Langhe.

  3. Afternoon: Visit a winery in Barolo, La Morra, or Barbaresco. La Morra offers one of the most beautiful views of the vineyards; in Barolo, visit the WiMu, the wine museum in Castello Falletti.

  4. Evening: Dinner in the hills or direct return to Turin.
